Bible Study

Our church offers Bible Study for all ages...

We have Sabbath School (Bible Study) on Saturday Mornings from 10:00am to 11:00am

Sabbath School - Adults

The Sabbath School is what we call the “Church at Study”.   It is a spiritual teaching or education program of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Sabbath School has three purposes:

  • Study of the Scripture
  • Fellowship
  • World global mission awareness.

You do not need to be a church member to attend Sabbath School classes--everyone is welcome!  Our classes meet weekly at 10:00am every Saturday morning before the church service.

Sabbath School - Children to Young Adults (Lower Division)

The Lower Division is responsible for the spiritual development of youth from birth to 21 years of age. Our dedicated teaching staff (Certified with PA Criminal and Child Abuse background checks), seeks to impart to students:

  • The knowledge of God
  • Help them experience God’s love
  • Aid them in living the life God intends them to live in order to be active laborers with Him for the salvation of others.

These goals are accomplished through skillfully planned programs that include:

  • Relative pre-session activities
  • Student involved lesson study
  • Mission emphasis.

The Lower Division has seven subdivisions, with each class providing short daily lesson study materials for at-home or personal worship:

  • Cradle Roll – Ages 0 up to 4

This age group is a lover of music and they sing about God and the wonderful world He made. Each week, the students learn memory verses and engage in a make-and-take activity taken from the lesson of the day. Lessons: https://www.gracelink.net/beginner

  • Kindergarten – Ages 4 to 6

These students are learning to love Jesus in a special way.  They learn and recite memory verses from the Bible.  Kindergartners also sing songs and play games that emphasize Jesus' love for children.  Lessons: https://www.gracelink.net/kindergarten

  • Primary –Ages 7 to 9

The teachers guide the students to study the Bible with the purpose of growing a relationship with God. Students take a special interest in Biblical truths/themes, learning the books of the Bible, the Beatitudes, and the Ten Commandments. Most of this is accomplished through interactive review of the lessons, group discussions and playing games like Bible Balloon Bowl or Bible Jeopardy. Lessons: https://mybiblefirst.org/ for Primary

  • Juniors/Earliteens – Ages 10 to 13

These students focus on four major themes:

  • Grace (Jesus loves me),
  • Worship (I love Jesus),
  • Community (We love others),
  • Service (We serve others).

They work together in groups and engage in lively discussions.

  • Teens – Ages 14 to 16

This class goes through a four-year “through-the-Bible” study curriculum. The lessons are intended for teens to use in their daily Bible study and to provide the basis for learning and discussion in youth Sabbath School.  Each lesson is based on a Bible story or scriptural passage and provides questions for deeper study, discussion, and supportive texts that highlight Bible principles, helping the young learners draw lessons for application.  Students participate in debriefing  exercises  as well as sharing illustrations connected to life scenarios. Lessons: http://www.cornerstoneconnections.net/

  • Youth  – Ages 16 to 18

The main goal for the Youth students is to accept Christ as their personal Savior and to help others come to know Him a well.

  • Collegiate  – Graduates to Young Adults

The students in this class work together to determine topics for discussion. They spend time researching, sharing, unpacking practical truths that apply to their personal walk with Christ.
